What pushes your customers’ Hot Buttons? Makes them throw their credit cards at you in a desperate attempt to get their hands on your book, product or service as fast as they can?

Most product producers have absolutely no idea.

And any ideas they do have are usually wrong, or only half formed.
Success in any endeavor is partly Art, partly Science. Applied in the correct proportions, you create Magic backed with the power of Scientific Innovation.

Our copywriters have studied the art and science of writing for decades, pulled apart top ads from the 1920’s to today. They have worked with the top copywriters on the past 10 years.

And now? Are considered some of today’s best, most successful copywriters.

And they do it without making you sound like a Used Car Salesman (unless you ARE a Used Car Salesman).

Now let’s get to some specifics…

A British Optometrist in Bristol sold 3 pairs of spectacles via his website in 2 years of trying. After a month of reworking his site and add some copy magic, he sold over 50,000 British Pounds his first month (that’s about $81,000!). Within a year he had opened up two new warehouses and averaged 70,000 British Pounds a month.

A software programmer approached us to write a sales letter for his newest program. His previous (self-written) copy sold $5000 its first week.

He was a little shocked and awed when our sales letter brought in $136,396 in 3 days.

Here’s what he wrote me recently:

“I have just read the draft of the latest copy you sent me. I thought long and hard before I wrote this email – I would really prefer to lock you down, have you write copy for no-one but me, and never have your name uttered, except behind locked doors.

“With every piece of copy that you do for me, I think “WOW, that’s superb – Scott’s best work yet”

“AND, then the next one turns up – and it’s even better still!! In my honest opinion, you are one of the best copywriters around today, and I feel very privileged to have you working with me on my projects.”

We live in a world that doesn’t stand still. Yesterday’s success is today’s failure. Constant improvement is the norm now and we live by it.

It used to be: the job was writing 50 page sales letters. Today that might be the job… Or it could be writing a video sales script. Or Facebook Ads. Or an email marketing campaign. Or a sizzling Press Release.

It is no longer: One Size Fits All.

We know you could get a 1987 Honda Civic… but we think you’d prefer the 2011 state-of-the-art, super-green Jaguar Project C-X75.

We aren’t going to say that most writers today are like Honda Civics from 1987, but we will say our sales letters are top-of-the-line, high performance machines that hum along at the speed of ‘Ka-ching’.

And once you work with us, you will, too!

I have a Gmail account. I don’t use it for business or any important correspondence. Wonder why?

Read this:

In most cases, accounts are disabled because of a perceived violation of either the Google Terms of Service or product-specific Terms of Service.

Google reserves the right to:

* Suspend a Google Account from using a particular product or the entire Google Accounts system if the Terms of Service or product-specific policies are violated.
* Terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

If your Google Account has been disabled, please review the relevant Terms of Service before attempting to create another account. For guidelines on a specific Google product, please visit the product homepage for a link to its Terms of Service.

How did I come to read this fascinating prose?

Yep, they closed it down. No idea why. All I know is that if I needed the emails in that account (which I don’t), I would be SOL. In business? Have your own email account that you control…

The new bi-weekly law firm marketing podcast focuses on legal marketing and gives tips to attorneys on improving their search engine results. The podcast also gives web design and conversion advice.

The law firm marketing experts at SEOLawFirm.com released their podcast a couple weeks ago and it is now available in the iTunes store.
“The podcasts discuss various legal marketing topics that are covered on the company’s blog.”

SEOLawFirm.com’s parent company, Adviatech Corp., is no stranger to podcasting. In May of 2009, they developed Your SEO Update with host Sierra Winter to develop a monthly podcast. As production time increased on the 15 minute program, the episodes were later delayed until recently shortening the podcast to less than five minutes.

Now on their legal marketing side, the company is doing the same thing by hosting shorter podcasts on a bi-weekly basis. “The podcasts discuss various legal marketing topics that are covered on the company’s blog.” However, the podcast gives them an opportunity to discuss tips and tricks in more detail and even answer questions that come in between episodes.

The first episode went live a couple weeks ago and was posted on SEOLawFirm.com and their Twitter account. Close to 150 listeners have since heard the podcast and given positive review as well as ideas on things to change in the future to make the podcast even better.

Aside from time restraints in production, the law firm marketing podcast is also shorter due to its target market. Attorneys are often strapped for time and rarely have the opportunity to sit down for 15-20 minutes to listen to a full length episode. It was also believed by SEOLawFirm.com management that it was possible to include so much information in one podcast episode that the listener would not be able to retain it, thus preventing the podcast from being a valuable legal marketing tool.

With their slogan being “Law Firm Marketing Is Evolving,” it is no surprise that SEOLawFirm.com would use podcasting as a medium to spread their message. The podcast is free to subscribers.

I received this today from Matt Furey:

Last Saturday afternoon my son’s baseball team was
leading 7-3 in the third inning. Both sets of grand-
parents were watching the “sure-thing” victory.

Two innings later, the game ended 11-7. The kids
were crushed.

But their coach knew just what to say to lift their
spirits – and I took note.

“Men, the best thing about losing games like this
is you get to forget about them. But when you WIN -
you get to remember those moments FOREVER.”

WOW. What a great message. Focus on your victories.
Forget about your losses.

Two weeks ago when I was coaching a group of men
and women in Phoenix, Arizona, I put everyone through
an exercise where you go back into your past and find
your “winningest moment.” Once found, you relive it
with even greater emotion and glory than the day it
happened.

Before doing this exercise, a 53-year old Canadian man
came forward to tell a story about “the hit” he got in a
baseball game when he was 12.

His team was down by a run – with two outs and the bases
loaded. As he took the plate he overheard people in the
stands saying, “Ah, we got this one. This guy’s our home
run hitter.”

And he was. That year he’d slammed 14 home runs.

He swung and missed the first two pitches. Then on the third
pitch he connected with all his might and the ball sailed into
the outfield. Deep, deep into centerfield.

As he was telling this story I noted water in his eyes, 41 years
after the fact.

I wondered why. Then he revealed the rest of the story…

The ball sailed and sailed. It was going to be the game winning
walk-off home run. He would be the hero of the day.

But at the very last moment, the outfielder leaped high
enough for the ball to hit his glove.

And caught it.

Game over.

“You told me you got a HIT,” I said “In the U.S. that’s not
a HIT – that’s an OWT (trying my best to speak Canadian).”

The man smiled for the first time – but was still a bit choked up
about his memory.

“How many home runs did you hit again,” I asked.

“Fourteen,” he said.

“Could you tell me about the best one you hit.”

“Actually, I can’t remember any of them.”

“Huh? You hit 14 home runs in one season and you can’t remember
any of them?”

“Correct.”

“Well, your assignment for right now then is to remember your home
runs. ALL of them.”

I then turned to the others and said, “And the same assignment applies
to you. Remember your home runs – and create more of them. Stop
focusing on the losses – unless you want more of them.”

Over the next few hours our Canadian brother began to recall his REAL
hits – his home runs – and then he relived them in his Theatre of the
Mind. And when he left the meeting he was all the better for having done
so.

Focusing on your victories is basic and fundamental to your success.
And like anything, the basics and fundamentals are the keys to victory.

If you haven’t updated and/or reviewed your WIN LIST – do so immediately.
Then focus on your victories and forget about your losses.

The best thing about your losses is you get to leave them behind.

The best thing about your wins is that you get to remember them
for the rest of your life.

Matt Furey

P.S. In Zero Resistance Living you learn how to focus on your victories in a
way that will catapult you onto success, day after day. Year after year.

Google today upturned the US Internet business by promising Google Fiber for Communities. The “experimental” service will give between 50,000 and 500,000 users 1Gbps fiber optic service, or more than 20 times faster than the fastest readily available Internet access in the US. At peak speeds, it would be enough to download a full HD movie in about five minutes and could support such exotic content as 3D video webcasts.

Google doesn’t have a timetable for when the first service will be active but is putting out a request to local governments to see which ones are interested in the fiber rollout.

The company has been one of the strongest advocates for widely available broadband and has frequently been the staunchest supporter of net neutrality as an official US government policy, as making both available feeds into Google’s core ad and search revenue. A similar approach has led to its offering free Wi-Fi during the holidays and near the Google campus as well as advocating for new technology such as “white space” unlicensed wireless.

Such an attitude has frequently put it at odds with major incumbent cable, DSL and fiber providers. Many of these have lobbied against any plan that would require them to serve more rural areas, which aren’t as profitable for providers as cities; in some cases they have filed lawsuits to prevent smaller towns from offering faster, cheaper service even when carriers themselves have declined to provide enough coverage. With the notable exception of Verizon’s FiOS, most have also increasingly tried capping and throttling service and have fought publicly against neutrality rules.

Hi, my name is Steve Kiges and I been in the software & internet industry for over 16 years. I was also featured in the New York times best seller Multiple Streams of Internet Income by Robert Allen.

I say that to let you know I have been on top of most traffic generating processes over the years. The problem, as most of you know is by the time you find out about it, it is so saturated or expensive it is useless. That is why I am so impressed and excited about Scott Paton’s program using Podcasts to build traffic and sales on your website.

Scott showed me how simple they are to setup and the best thing is now is the time to start using podcasts before the swarms catch on. The traffic results are fantastic! So Scott, my hat’s off to you, this is brilliant and going to help a lot of people make a lot money with their websites.

Also, I just want to mention, if anyone has a chance to see Scott in person at one of his boot camps take it.

Besides from having a lot of fun you will leave with a ton of tools that make you successful. Thanks again Scott!

“Thanks Scott for the great weekend.

Spent last night creating my first website getting ready to post my first blog and podcast. Yep, this is the first time I ever tried to create something on the computer without paying Thousands of $$ to some webguy.

And let me tell you as you probably already know, it was so #$(#@$T(& EASY I could build 3-4 websites a day with your webinar clinic. My site was up and looking good in about 2 hours.

I’ll send you the link when it’s ready to be releases to the universe.”

Thanks, Grant! The Web Mastery Clinic is posted below. Check it out.
